After enduring a difficult transition in the merger of two major RIA custodians
in the mid-nineties, CEO Robb Baldwin, then an RIA, set out to create a different
kind of custodian. Instead of building another brokerage firm that provided services
to individual investors and only viewed RIAs as a secondary market, TradePMR began
in 1998 with a singular purpose... to service RIAs, and RIAs only. Since its inception,
TradePMR has been committed to expanding its services and advisor tools while providing

In November 1998, TradePMR’s first web-based Advisor Workstation was launched –
a system that proved revolutionary in its ability to provide basket trading, power
trades, and a full range of other specialized tools that are now commonly used by
advisors today. Through the years, the Advisor Workstation has undergone multiple
upgrades to improve its features and functionality.
And through it all, TradePMR has continued to grow, as it has focused on combining
the most comprehensive tools for advisors with unmatched customer service. With
the affiliations of TradePMR Bank and TradePMR Retirement, TradePMR became one of
the only full-service RIA custodians offering advisors both brokerage and banking
services.
