Advisors have always known tax efficiency matters to clients. What's been missing is a systematic way to manage it year-round.
Now with Robinhood Cortex for Advisors, Tax Insights helps advisors address that gap with a more proactive view of household tax information held at TradePMR. Now live inside Fusion, Tax Insights gives you ongoing visibility into realized gains and losses, alongside potential tax-planning considerations, so you can act throughout the year, not just at the end of it.
What Tax Insights shows you:
Context and clear explanations on potential tax exposure with AI generated overviews.
Embedded directly in Fusion, advisors can see realized information and potential tax-planning considerations in one place, with clear explanations, all without having to utilize additional tools.
Available optimization strategies presented directly in your workflow.
After a strategy is identified, Tax Insights allows advisors to initiate a contribution, distribution, or rebalancing basket from within the tool, which may reduce time spent switching between programs.
Within the Tax Optimization section advisors can review:
- Asset Location: A screener that evaluates household positions to identify securities that may be held in a less tax-efficient account type for the advisor’s review.
- Gain Deferral: A screener that identifies tax lots whose holding period will become a long term status within 30 days.
- IRA Contributions: Displays estimated contribution information for each individual’s Traditional and Roth IRAs held at TradePMR. A user can initiate a contribution from this view after confirming eligibility and limits.
- RMDs: Displays estimated RMD information for Traditional, SEP, and SIMPLE IRAs held at TradePMR
- Tax Loss Harvesting: A screener identifies open tax lots with unrealized losses in overweight securities (based on drift). A user can create a basket from this view for review.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Robinhood Cortex for Advisors do with client data and privacy?
What does Robinhood Cortex for Advisors do to fit into my current workflow?
It integrates directly into the tools you already use, meaning there is no new system to learn and no extra steps to take, reducing clicks rather than adding them.
What problem does Tax Insights solve?
Tax planning often requires advisors to pull information from multiple sources. Tax Insights brings relevant information together in Fusion and proactively identifies potential opportunities. It helps advisors make tax analysis an ongoing part of client service rather than a year-end exercise.
What can advisors do with Tax Insights?
Tax Insights uses AI-generated narratives to help advisors review information that may bear on a client's potential tax exposure, including key findings and changes across TradePMR accounts. Advisors can review year-to-date realized gains and losses across supported TradePMR accounts. Additionally, they can identify potential tax-loss harvesting, asset location, gain deferral, IRA contribution, and RMD considerations. From those insights advisors can also prepare rebalancing baskets and initiate certain IRA transactions directly within Fusion, subject to advisor review.
Does Tax Insights replace tax professionals?
No. It's designed to support advisor analysis of potential tax opportunities for their clients. Advisors remain responsible for reviewing findings and coordinating with tax professionals as appropriate. Robinhood Cortex for Advisors is not tax advice and TradePMR does not provide tax or legal advice.
What does Robinhood Cortex for Advisors NOT do?
It does not execute trades, automatically rebalance portfolios, or replace human advisor judgment. Advisors always retain full control over all actions, trades, and recommendations, and all platform outputs require independent review.
Can I prompt Robinhood Cortex for Advisors?
Currently, Robinhood Cortex for Advisors is a proactive insight tool. The AI solution is built specifically to be an intelligence layer unifying information from your CRM, custody, and portfolio data into actionable insights.

You should carefully review this disclosure, which contains key information about the functions, limitations, and risks associated with the Robinhood Cortex for Advisors Digests, Tax Insights, and Portfolio Digests features.
These features are made available to accounts you manage at Trade-PMR, Inc. (also known as “TradePMR” or “TradePMR by Robinhood”) , Member SIPC, under a license from Robinhood Markets, Inc., which retains the "Robinhood Cortex for Advisors" and "Portfolio Digests" branding. TradePMR is the broker-dealer member responsible for making these features available to accounts held at TradePMR.
Robinhood Cortex for Advisors Digests uses generative artificial intelligence to summarize recent news, events, and market information related to a selected security or asset. These summaries are intended to provide quick context for market developments at a specific point in time.
Where Portfolio Digests are made available to an investment adviser exercising discretionary authority over a client account, references in this disclosure to "your account," "your portfolio," or "your investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial situation" refer to the underlying client account and the client's own objectives, risk tolerance, and financial situation as known to the adviser — not to the adviser's personal circumstances.
Portfolio Digests
Portfolio Digests use generative artificial intelligence to analyze information from client accounts, including holdings and related market data, to highlight news and events that may affect your portfolio. Summaries may call out factors that contributed to recent portfolio movement and may spotlight upcoming events that could influence future movements.
Tax Insights
Tax Insights is made available to investment advisers by Trade-PMR, Inc. (“TradePMR” or “TradePMR by Robinhood”), member SIPC, under license from Robinhood Markets, Inc., its parent company.
Tax Insights is for informational purposes only. It is not tax, legal, accounting, financial, or investment advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or to take any action in any account. Tax Insights uses screeners and calculations to identify information and generative artificial intelligence to explain it. AI-generated text may contain errors or omissions. Advisors should verify it against the underlying data.
Tax Insights reflects only accounts held at TradePMR, as of the date and time displayed. It does not account for assets held elsewhere, other accounts of the client or spouse, state or local taxes, the alternative minimum tax, or other client-specific tax attributes. Cost basis, holding period, and gain/loss figures are estimates and may differ from Form 1099-B and other official tax documents, which control for tax reporting. IRA contribution and RMD figures are estimates. They do not reflect all applicable rules (including inherited IRAs, employer plans, aggregation, and income-based eligibility) and do not replace official notices. Advisors and clients are responsible for confirming eligibility, limits, and amounts.
Tax-loss harvesting and gain deferral involve risks. These include wash-sale rules, which can apply across accounts (including IRAs and a spouse’s accounts) and which Tax Insights may not detect. They also include reduced cost basis, transaction costs, tracking error, and market risk from selling or holding a position for tax reasons. Tax considerations should not be the sole basis for an investment decision.
The adviser is solely responsible for determining whether any action is appropriate for the client, consistent with the client’s objectives, mandate, and account agreements, and consistent with the adviser’s fiduciary and regulatory obligations. No basket, contribution, or distribution is submitted without adviser review and confirmation. Tax Insights is made available to advisers only. Any sharing of its content with clients is at the adviser’s discretion and is subject to the adviser’s own compliance obligations, including, where applicable, Rule 206(4)-1 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
Neither TradePMR nor Robinhood guarantees the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of Tax Insights. Features may change or be discontinued in accordance with your TradePMR account agreement.
Use and Limitations
Robinhood Cortex for Advisors, Tax Insights, and Portfolio Digests are provided for informational purposes only. They are not investment advice, investment research, or recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset.
This applies equally where an investment adviser accesses Digests in connection with client accounts: Digests are not a recommendation, and should not be construed as a recommendation, to the adviser to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset on behalf of its clients.
The content is automatically generated and should not be interpreted as a price target, forecast, or indicator of future performance, and is provided for informational purposes only.
The summaries are automatically generated and do not reflect your personal investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial situation. They should not be viewed as performance analysis.
These features do not provide all the information necessary to make an investment decision. Where accessed by an investment adviser in connection with a client account, whether the adviser exercises discretionary or non-discretionary authority over that account, Digests do not relieve the adviser of its independent fiduciary duty of care under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and applicable state law, including the obligation to independently evaluate whether any security or asset is suitable for the client's account, objectives, and investment strategy before trading. Digests do not substitute for the adviser's own investment analysis and are not directed to, and should not be relied upon by, the underlying client as investment advice from TradePMR or Robinhood. Digests generated in connection with a client account are made available to the adviser only and are not made directly available to the underlying client through this feature. Any decision to share Digest content with a client, in whole or in part, is made solely at the adviser's discretion and remains subject to the adviser's own compliance obligations, including under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and, to the extent applicable, Rule 206(4)-1 thereunder.
Because these features use generative artificial intelligence, the content may include inaccuracies or AI-generated statements that do not reflect verified facts, current market conditions, or actual events.
All features rely on proprietary and third-party data sources. Neither TradePMR nor Robinhood guarantees the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of the information provided.
Third-party statements and opinions have not been verified and do not represent the views of TradePMR or Robinhood. Sherwood Media, an affiliated but separate and independent media outlet, may be used as a news source. Sherwood Media is neither a broker-dealer nor an investment advisor.
For Portfolio Digests, any relationships identified between market developments and your holdings are algorithmic and not predictive. They should not be viewed as causal or as guarantees of performance.
Where Digests are generated at the account level for a client served by a discretionary adviser, the adviser remains solely responsible for determining the relevance of any identified relationship to that client's specific investment strategy, mandate, or investment policy statement — Robinhood does not assess account-specific mandates in generating Digests.
An adviser accessing these links on behalf of a client account is responsible for independently determining whether the referenced product is consistent with the client's account agreements, investment guidelines, and the adviser's own authority to trade such products on the client's behalf.
Coverage and update frequency may vary based on market conditions, portfolio composition, eligibility, and the availability of relevant information. Coverage is not available for all securities or assets, and neither TradePMR nor Robinhood has an obligation to correct or reissue a Digest if the underlying data later changes or becomes inaccurate.
Robinhood may modify, suspend, or discontinue Robinhood Cortex for Advisors, Tax Insights, and Portfolio Digests at any time without notice. Availability of these features may change over time. They reflect information only as of the displayed time and date and may update as frequently as every five minutes based on the volume of relevant news, although updates are not guaranteed at any set interval.
